Greg Reed is running for state Senate District 5 in the June Republican primary. Reed, 44, will launch his campaign Tuesday with stops in Pleasant Grove, Tuscaloosa, Jasper and Arley.

The district includes Walker County and parts of Jefferson, Tuscaloosa and Winston counties.

The seat is held by state Sen. Charles Bishop, R-Arley, who is not running for re-election.

Reed is vice president of Preferred Medical Systems.
